Miss Teen Canyon Country
Dannay Rodriguez
In her own words:
I'm very honored to serve my community as Miss Teen Canyon Country in the Miss SCV Scholarship Program. As a titleholder my responsibilities include, SCV Chamber of Commerce mixers, charity fundraiser's, grand openings, and parades. My favorite event was the Radio Disney Hollywood Parade. My pageant sisters and I were invited as VIP royalty and we walked down the red carpet while thousands of people cheered us. The other memorable event was the Veteran's Day Ball which was held in Los Angeles. I attended as royalty in my beautiful ball gown, crown and sash. It was an honor to be included in the celebration of our countries veteran heroes. I danced with some of the finest gentlemen until my feet wouldn't move.
The Miss SCV Scholarship Program has given me the opportunity to become more responsible, mature and work as a team player along side community dignitaries as I build a great resume of community service.
The number one lady that is my role model is my dear Mother. I've enjoyed spending time with her as my chaperon at events. We have so much fun! Secondly, Ms. Mardi (the director), has done so much for us girls and this program. She is the most amazing lady you'll ever meet! If you need help with something, she would drop everything she's doing and give you her full attention.
What I like to do in my spare time is play basketball, shop, spend time with my friends and family and of course shop. Currently I am a professional print model and I'm studying to be a commercial actor. My best advice to everyone is to follow your dreams and never give up. Sooner or later your dreams WILL come true.
Warm hugs to my pageant sisters, family and friends.
