In her own words:

Hello, my name is Sarah Miller and I am Little Miss Canyon Country 2007. I have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley my entire life and have enjoyed it very much. I currently attend Jr. High School where I am the Secretary of the Associate Student Body and a member of the Honor Society.

Outside of school, I take art classes. I wish to be a Children's Book Illustrator when I grow up and have been taking art classes for 8 years. Also, I am a cadette Girl Scout, and have been in the program since kindergarten. At this time, my troop is working on our Silver Award. I like to spend time with my friends and family, and truly love helping at events in the Santa Clarita Valley.

This is my first year participating the pageant and it has been quite fun. At first, I can tell you I was very nervous, but after 8 weeks of training with Ms. Mardi I was so ready and excited to do the pageant. At the moment, I have completed almost 100 hours of community service. I have participated in new business grand openings, helped with many charity fundraisers, and met many community council leaders. A few of my favorite events include the 4th of July Parade, Special Olympics Bowlathon, and being with my fellow Miss SCV pageant sisters.

This program is more than just the pretty dresses, the crowns and sashes, the girls are beautiful inside, too. In the program, you will meet amazing and beautiful girls who are very talented. I have made many friendships that will last for a long time.

Ms. Mardi is an incredible woman who teaches you how people can make a difference in their community and helps you become the best woman you can be. She has truly made a difference in my life. I have learned to be more sociable and outgoing, all because of her.

I want to thank my parents who back me up on everything I do. With out them, I wouldn't have been able to have this amazing experience. My sister and all of my friends, I want to thank you for making my life so pleasurable. Ms. Mardi, you are very extraordinary and you have made this program very special. Lastly, I want to thank my sponsors for supporting me.

I encourage every girl to do the Miss SCV Scholarship Pageant; it will sincerely change you forever!
